Hobby Class (6th~12th Grade)

Hobby class represents an age-appropriate progression for students ranging from 6th to 12th. The curriculum for each class is designed to introduce and reinforce learning objectives that are important for developing a unified understanding of realistic representational drawing. We introduce students to various art materials and encourage them to move beyond representational drawings to creative/original projects.

ABOUT OUR HOBBY CLASS
Nan Art Hobby class provides high-quality enrichment experiences in the visual arts for teens. Students will get a chance to move away from elementary level art activities to exploring higher-level art making. Class is taught by professional artists and designers who develop fun, challenging and educational projects. Students will focus on accurately representing the form on paper mastering a variety of media like pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, pastel, watercolor, acrylic paint, and possibly oil paint. Students will progress from still life to the human form (portrait, self-portrait and male and female figure) and move on to create unique and original pieces. While learning the fundamental principles of art such as perspective, proportions, light and shade, students are encouraged to make the work expressive and personal, so that it fully reflects their unique artistic individuality. This class will be beneficial for young students who have dreams of becoming designers, fine artists, animators, and architects in future.
